Meet Our Team

Dr. James

A native of the Bay Area and a resident of Redwood City, Dr. James strives to give his patients the highest quality of patient care. He strongly believes in customizing treatment to each patient’s individual needs in a warm and caring environment.

Dr. James received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. He moved back to the Bay Area after completing his orthodontic residency also at University of Pennsylvania, where he served as the class president.

Dr. James is a board certified orthodontist who prefers to time treatment so that patients do not need to wear their braces longer than necessary. Dr. James respects his patients’ time and almost never keeps his patients waiting.

A newlywed, Dr. James and his wife live in Redwood City, and are active in local non-profit, volunteer community and service groups, such as the Redwood City Kiwanis Club and a domestic violence prevention and education organization in Palo Alto. Dr. James is an active member of the American Dental Association, San Mateo County Dental Society, American Board of Orthodontics, and American Association of Orthodontists.

Emily

Emily received her Registered Dental Assistant certificate in 2006 and has spent the last 3 years of her dental assisting career in pediatric dentistry. Emily enjoys working with children and adults alike and is eagerly learning the fine details of orthodontics to assist Dr. James in creating beautiful smiles.

Emily and her husband have recently moved to the bay area from Southern California and live with their two active puppies in Sunnyvale. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and discovering the broad variety of activities the bay area has to offer.

Erica

Erica was born in Hayward and graduated from Mount Eden high school in 2001.Erica currently still resides in Hayward with her amazing 2 year old son named Caleb. Erica's achieved her dental certificates at the Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P) in Hayward in 2006 and has worked in both Orthodontics and a General practice for the past 3 years.

Adela

Adela was born and raised in Redwood City and a graduate of Woodside High School. Adela is currently a student at San Jose State University and majoring in Business Management. When not helping the patients getting the beautiful smile they wanted, Adela enjoys the great weather of Redwood City by playing outdoor sports like soccer and camping with her family.

Adela had previously worked in Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s but now she is excited be part of the Peninsula Orthodontic Group team to provide 1st class customer service with patients who want to seek an attractive and healthy smile.

Rosa

Rosa was raised in San Jose CA. She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1990 and received her Dental Assistant certificate that same year. In 1998 Rosa received her RDA License and has been in the Dental field for over 15 years. Rosa currently resides in San Jose CA with her 19 year old son Gary who currently attends college. Rosa enjoys working out and hanging out with her son, family and friends.
